(MRIC5) Random Records

This application allows users to be redirected to a random record (CMS), based on their ACP permissions and UCP user preferences.

Let's say, for example, you have a website for movies, music, or books with various categories; this button could be useful for redirecting the user to discover content at random based on their preferences.

• Control over what can be recommended in the ACP.

• UCP preferences.

• Cache control for visitors.

• Button code to add anywhere on your site.

• Specific URL to place anywhere.

Я тоже могу подумать о создании такого приложения в будущем, как только закончу несколько проектов, которыми сейчас занят. Оно изменяло бы оригинальные файлы и обновляло базу данных. Мне только нужно придумать, как решить проблему с обновлениями версий, потому что при обновлении все эти изменения будут сбрасываться.

Обновление 5.0.19? Было бы здорово, если бы у вас также были файлы Dev Kit это очень помогло бы мне разрабатывать больше приложений для сообщества.

Похоже, что Invision Community постепенно стремится к тому, чтобы пользователи как можно меньше изменяли шаблоны, либо просто усложняет этот процесс. Сначала они ограничили возможность редактирования CSS, а теперь и HTML-шаблонов.

Суть проблемы в том, что теперь вы можете добавлять свой код только начиная с определённого места, но не можете полностью изменять уже существующий код.

Has anyone figured out how to edit the entire template in IC5 now? It was much simpler in IPS4.

Right now, I can only make changes by coding directly via the application, and it’s exhausting.

Unlock Backblaze (Storage Method)

These files replace the original IC5 file, unlocking the Backblaze storage method that is hidden in the code. For some reason, the Invision team also blocked the creation of more than two storage methods, taking away the administrator's freedom of choice, this change increases that limit to 99.

• Increases the storage method limit from 2 to 99.

This feature was tested in versions:

• 5.0.17

• 5.0.18

A tip for those setting up a "Custom URL":

If you are a Cloudflare user, you can serve static files such as images and downloads at no cost.

1- Find your endpoint, in my case, it is "s3.us-east-005.backblazeb2.com"

2- Create a subdomain on Cloudflare and configure a CNAME record pointing to "f005.backblazeb2.com". Note that "f005" corresponds to the "005" in endpoint. Change this part if yours is different.

3- Configure the "Custom URL" as follows: example.mydomain.com/file/bucket-name-example/bucket-path/

example = the subdomain you set up on Cloudflare

mydomain.com = your domain

bucket-name-example = name of the bucket you created

bucket-path = If you have defined a "Bucket Path", otherwise, delete that part.

Your domain is new, less than a month old, Google may still be learning whether your site is user-friendly.

There doesn't seem to be any blockage.

Create an RSS feed under "ACP > System > RSS Feeds" and try to submit it. Remember to submit it without the "/?member_id=1&key=xxxxx" part of the URL.

There are some tweaks and polishing to do, but the core functionality is already in place. I'm thinking of releasing it as a beta version.
