    Их лучше запустить вручную, так будет быстрее.

    форум на 4.7.20 - хочется обновить до 5-той ветки. На сколько я понимаю, нужно закачать файлы поверх старых и запустить /admin/upgrade
    Какие могут быть проблемы. Ваши за и против - стоит ли обновляться или оставить 4.7.20 ?

    Чистите базу, чтоб не было подобного и по новой.

    Лучше обновляться на 4.x, затем уже на 5.x
