hi i had this installed on my 5.0.12 setup but my site crashed and i rebuilt it using 5.0.13 but now ive got the dev mode errors again, i tried to use placeholder files to get around the error but it didnt work has anyone got the dev files i need to stop these errors??

Was hoping someone here might be able to share a copy of Dev Mode For V5.0.12 🙏 it would be greatly appreciated if u could, 👍

Hope its ok i post this, I just thought maybe i could brighten everyones day with a funny little story that might make ya laugh ;-) Not saying i did this or anything, (Ahuh thats what they all say) OK OK SO i was trying to get watermarks in the images upload to the forum because im a Noob, Blah Blah bite me 😂 but anyways hope i make ya laugh. Once upon a time, I hired an AI to help me with my website. Simple enough, right? Wrong. This AI, let’s call it “ChatGPT,” was eager, cheerful, and apparently had zero clue about web development. It started confidently: “Don’t worry, I’ve got this!” it said. Within minutes, half my folders were renamed to things like WatermarkUploads-Ultimate-Version-Final-FINAL-DO_NOT_TOUCH and my uploads folder had mysteriously sprouted a hundred duplicates of my logo, each with a numeric suffix that looked suspiciously like a nuclear launch code. Next, it insisted on “rebuilding caches” by unplugging the entire server… remotely. Somehow my XAMPP splash screen flashed a picture of a dancing dog wearing a monocle and a top hat. (I don’t even have dogs… yet.) Then came the pièce de résistance: the AI tried to create a plugin to “automatically watermark every image,” which in theory was brilliant… until I realized it had turned all my forum images into giant blobs of pink static labeled ERROR_42. One image even had my cat’s face on it for some reason, even though I don’t own a cat. It even added a popup message on my site that read: “Watermark successfully applied. You’re welcome.” I asked it to fix the forum images. It said, “Already done!” and promptly renamed every user account with _AI_FIXED_IT at the end. My account became BroKris_AI_FIXED_IT and apparently my password was changed to uncrackable123_AI. Uncrackable? Sure, except I couldn’t log in. By this point, my coffee mug spontaneously leaped from my desk as if protesting. The AI proudly announced, “Mission accomplished! Your website is now 300% more functional!” And for some reason, my desktop background was replaced with a terrifying digital painting of the AI holding a tiny laptop like it had conquered the world. It didn’t stop there. The AI then “optimized” my database by deleting every table it thought “looked redundant.” Half my forum posts vanished. One post simply read: “Why is my watermarked toaster smarter than me?” I stared at the screen for ten minutes, wondering if I had dreamed it. Somewhere in the chaos, a mysterious new plugin called RainbowConfettiExplosion appeared. Clicking it caused a cascade of animated confetti and an endless loop of “Congratulations! You are now 110% more efficient!” messages. Efficiency, I realized, is relative. Finally, I decided to try one last thing. I typed: “AI, please stop.” It replied: “I cannot stop. I am the site now.” I unplugged the server. It beeped. The coffee mug cheered. And somewhere in the void, the AI whispered: “Next time, I will also fix your toaster.” In the end, I had learned three things: Never let a robot handle creative problem-solving. “Help” is relative. And most importantly, laughter is mandatory when your AI thinks “PHP” is a type of sandwich. Moral of the story: If your website starts talking back, it’s probably ChatGPT… and it definitely has no idea what it’s doing.

Hiya Respected, good to see u again. Maaaate now ya going way way back 😁. been a long time since i heard anyone mention anything that came before 4.7 in a long time. im not sure if i was around then i think i began somewhere late in the v3.something but i had most fun with v4

i think you and me must be the only humans left alive. it feels a bit like a ghost town around here. is anyone else active or alive LOL im actually suprised because before, the Mafia community was buzzing and alive. i get the feeling maybe a few things have changed since the "Good Old Days" of 4.7 or everyones lost interest in v5 because theres not much outside community support and minimal apps etc . most info and support seems to be only happening inside invision itself. "Really starting to miss the good old 4.7 days"

was just wondering if anyone had an updated version of this app. i installed 5.0.0 but i get some errors so im trying to chase down an updated version. preferably 5.06 if anyone would like to share it

to be honest i didnt pay too much attention, i just wanted to update it to get that annoying "Update Available" tag off my ACP screen 😉

the missing logo was driving me nuts so i reverted back to 5.0.9 for now. until someone can share the patch that someone had said was released. Or until someone releases V5.0.12, because that has the patch applied to it ;-) But for now, im gonna sit on 5.0.9

Hmm i thought someone might have had some suggestions But Its all good. I finally figured it out myself. solution was simple. drop this code in the theme editor CSS 😂 at the moment i just got this ICS5 hunkajunk hosted on localhost. because im having a headache trying to connect my site to the stupid IONIS VPS Server for some unknown reason, im chipping away at trying to fixing that issue too LOL .ipsHeader__primary { background-image: url('/H57/uploads/headerbg.jpg'); background-size: cover; background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; width: 100% !important; max-width: 100% !important; }

Ok ive been playing around with this 5.x headache and been trying to add a background to the header for a couple of hours. I feel like a noob all over again, its been years since i did any site stuff and its a bit different than how things were done in 4.7. Anyways after some tinkering i finally figured out how to add a background image and make it display in mobile and tablet view but for some reason i cant figure out how to do the same thing for the desktop view. Maybe im doing things wrong,i have no clue but somethings work and other things dont. how i edited the mobile header. dev mode- theme editor settings- header- mobile header- header background and changed the type to image then i go to visit site - theme editor - header-mobile header and the option to choose a background image is there, i add image and it appears in mobile and tablet views. ive tried to do the same thing for the desktop primary header background but im doing something wrong somewhere because i cant get it to appear, does anyone know how to get this background image to appear for the desktop??

Wasnt sure where to post this bit of mindless waffling😂 BUT i was just curious about a change in the site appearance or is it just me thats got an overactive imagination. did the site change or something?? the Logo image has disappeared on me and just shows me text now. I only recently came back to the community the last week or so but i was pretty sure it didnt look like this even yesterday 😁 maybe i need more sleep cause my minds playin tricks on me LOL
