aLEX49566, Вместо того чтобы критиковать, можно было помочь разобраться и починить данный плагин... Либо хотя бы просто написать что не хотите, либо не знаете как его переделать... Мне абсолютно не важно, за бесплатно он или платно.. Если плагин работает криво, его надо доделать так что бы он работал корректно с любыми ссылками... 

Что я собственно и сделал для вас бесплатно, так как я заинтересован не в халяве, а в качественном плагине... 
Извиняюсь конечно если меня неправильно поняли или посчитали что я наезжаю тут... Ничего такого. Чисто ради помощи и решения данной проблемы написал. 
В свободное время переписал немного плагин. Если захотите, обновите, пожалуйста, его в шапке. 
Вообщем что изменил и добавил в 1.1 версию: 
Вернул проверку локальных файлов. Добавил проверку файлов по прямым ссылкам. Теперь он корректно отображает названия файлов.  Исправил поломку сервера на сайтах, где используются ссылки со знаками восклицания. IPS их неправильно обрабатывал, и вылетал в ошибку 500.  Ссылки с потерянными значениями, либо удалёнными файлами будут возвращать ошибку типа: "Страница не найдена", а не view как это было например с гугл ссылками.  Все ссылки форматируются перед отображением. Чтобы избежать спец символов типа %20 (пробел), и пр.  Если будут какие-то ошибки, пожалуйста напиши, я постараюсь их исправить.  С Уважением. :))

Простое приложение, которое добавляет кнопку "Поделиться в VK.com" во все места, где размещены остальные аналогичные кнопки.
Знаю, что есть аналогичное приложение, но оно частично не работает. Делал для себя, чисто ради данной кнопки.

Файлзила портабл полностью устраивает. Не вижу смысла подбирать аналог

фтп серв может криво работать и сбрасывать соединения при загрузке большого объема файлов.
из ~10 тысяч файлв, штук 10 не загрузится, а вы и не заметите, только потом ошибки будете ловить.
загружать файлы в архиве надежнее и намного быстрее

Похоже что не все файлы загружены. Попробуйте перезалить файлы дистрибутива

Скорее всего там должны быть настройки PHP.
Данной панелькой не пользовался, не подскажу.

В настройках даст поставить меньше, но будет ли срабатывать фактически, надо смотреть

Для добавления иконки, нужно найти её код на сайте Font Awesome, например: https://fontawesome.com/icons/om?f=classic&s=solid

И вставить в файл /applications/customusericon/hooks/cuiSystemController.php по образцу:

После этого иконка появится в списке для выбора:

После выбора иконки иногда нужно сбросить кеш в админцентре, так как в виджетах кеш может быть настроен на длительное время.

Все плагины, которые разработали не вы, будут выдавать такую ошибку, так как при установке плагина, он не создает папку dev, необходимую для работы в режиме разработчика.

Какая то сомнительная рекомендация.
Если, конечно хотите кривую вёрстку, то да, нужно не закрывать двойные теги
